Conference: Keeping wooded meadows – Nordic-Baltic practices

We are pleased to announce that registration for the international wooded meadows conference is now open!

The „WOODMEADOWLIFE“ project is organising a conference called „Keeping wooded meadows – Nordic-Baltic practices“, to be held in Ojako, Estonia, on 12 – 14 June 2023. The event will bring together experts and practitioners from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and of course, Estonia. Registration is now open online at the Conference homepage until 30 April 2023.

The conference programme includes presentations on wooded meadows’ ecological and cultural values, The results of long-term vegetation monitoring and Osmoderma eremita monitoring methods, restoration practices in different projects, current status and challenges in Nordic–Baltic region and the United Kingdom, and more. During the conference, we will visit Nedrema, Laelatu, and Puhtu wooded meadows and the Lihula heating plant.  Early risers can take part in the morning bird-watching in Audru polder.

The working language of the conference will be English.
