Current Team Members
The European Chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration is staffed by part-time contracted freelancers, project interns and volunteers who coordinate and communicate with the Executive Board, Board of Directors and other members. We are passionate about driving forward policy environment-positive policy making, effectively communicating and disseminating the latest groundbreaking research in ecosystem restoration practices, and networking experts, researchers and practitioners together.
Chief Operating Officer – Boris Barov
Boris coordinates the daily operations of SERE, with specific responsiblity for fundraising and strategic development.
He has 25 years of experience in conservation and the management of non-profit organisations.

Finance / Admin Officer – Sébastien Guille
Sébastien is responsible for all financial and administrative matters relating to SERE. He analyses and tracks project finances, as well as streamlining the back-office and providing ad-hoc team support.

Project Officer – Marcello de Vitis
Responsible for SERE participation in TEAM#UP, LIFE-BCR, LIFE-WoodMeadows, and AlfaWetlands.
Marcello has a background in plant conservation and native plant material supply for restoration.

Project Officer – Sahar Stevenson-Jones
Responsible for SERE participation in CLIMAREST and REDRESS, and the set up of the Marine Restoration Working Group.
Sahar is passionate about true citizen engagement, ocean literacy and effective outreach.
