National Standards for the Practice of Ecological Restoration in Australasia – Edition 2.2
What are the standards?
The Standards have been designed to encourage all restoration and rehabilitation projects in Australia to reach their highest potential.
The Society for Ecological Restoration Australasia (SERA) and 17 partner organisations* have contributed to the development of the National Standards over a 8.5 year period – carefully considering the needs of all stakeholders.
How were they developed?
The drafting process involved multiple drafts, collectively worked on by the partners in consultation with hundreds of key stakeholders including agencies, researchers and industry organisations and individual practitioners.

Launch of 2.2 Edition
SERA launched the updated Edition 2.2 of the National Standards for Ecological Restoration on 16 September 2021 with the support of the Environment Minister Hon Sussan Ley.
