The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) has partnered with Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse and Toque Catering to bring you an exciting interactive forest tour.

Have you ever wanted to learn more about the edible bounty found in BC’s coastal forests? NCC’s Travis Muir and Toque’s Janusz Urban will lead a learning forest walk through the Coastal Douglas-fir forest next to Sea Cider’s organic apple orchard. Chef Jan will share his vast knowledge of edible plants that grow in the forests of southern Vancouver Island, while Travis will demonstrate innovative ways to identify plants in any forest. Tips for harvesting and cooking with edibles will be shared, as well as best practices for removing common invasive plants. After the walk, the group will gather in the ciderhouse for ciders and conversation.
