Have you heard of the Great Monarch Migration? Do you want to learn more about this inspiring species, while also participating in the equally inspiring Make a Difference Week event – from wherever you are in the world?

As part of SER-Western Canada’s ongoing webinar series, we’re very pleased to have Dr. Jaramillo Lopez join us to talk about the plight of the Monarch butterflies that overwinter near Morelia, Mexico. This webinar will include information and resources about what you can do to support Monarch butterflies (or your other local pollinators). We encourage all attendees to take some time in the week following the webinar to plant or seed native species that support Monarchs and other pollinators, and then let us know about how it went! Together, we can protect this beautiful species for generations to come.

Register for the webinar here: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5628279490329269517. This will also register you as a volunteer for the event.

Volunteers are encouraged to attend the webinar and learn more about Monarchs and their habitat requirements. We then ask that volunteers plant or seed milkweed (for those that live in North America), or otherwise engage in butterfly-supporting activities. Please keep track of what you do, how much area you work with, and how many people are involved. You can send us these data, along with any photos or videos you take, to record your participation in this international, dispersed volunteer event!
