Join SERNW and Biohabitats Construction for an in-depth look at the restoration of the Johnson Creek Confluence at Milwaukie Bay Park, Milwaukie, OR on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
This project has successfully restored the confluence to a more natural creek-delta system, incorporating large woody structures to provide critical Salmonid refugia. The construction effort, led by the Biohabitats Construction team, involved complex material staging, creek diversion, earth moving, fish and amphibian rescue, and extensive native plant installation.
Special thanks to project partners Johnson Creek Watershed Council, Wolf Water Resources, and Aquatic Contracting.
The Tour
Led by Biohabitats Fish Biologist, Todd Alsbury, this field walk will explore Willamette River processes, the installation of large woody structures, and strategies for improving Salmonid habitat.
