University of Washington Botanic Gardens Ecological Restoration Professional Education Advisory Committee Member
Seattle, WA | 2-7 hours / month
Are you interested in helping facilitate learning opportunities as part of a dedicated and well supported group in the greater Seattle area? Represent SERNW on the active UWBG ER committee at monthly planning meetings.

Webinar Organizer
Any Location | 1-3 hours / month
Do you have ideas on good topics and speakers for our webinar series? We’d love your help! As a member of our Programs committee, you’ll help us continue to offer this well-loved, easy to access learning opportunity.

Pub Talk Organizer
Any Location | 4-10 hours / event
Do you enjoy learning at casual in person presentations, followed by connecting with other local practitioners over a tasty beverage? So do we! Help us make it happen more often across our region. We’re seeking volunteers to help us develop one or more pub talks at a variety of locations across our region, based on a successful model from the Missoula area.

Pub Talk Venue Liaison
Any Location | 1-3 hours / month
Are you looking for an excuse to check out cool venues across our region? We’re seeking an outgoing individual who can help us develop contacts with micro-breweries, wineries, vineyard tasting rooms, or other venues that may be willing to host pub talks across our region.

Awards Committee Member
Any Location | 2-4 hours / year
Do you think there are a lot of exciting and innovative projects across our region that should be recognized? We’re seeking folks from across the region who can assist with assembling a nomination list of potential awardees. We’d love to make sure we have coverage across more of our region so that no deserving project or individual is missed!

Communications Committee Member
Any Location | 2-4 hours / bi-monthly
Do you enjoy sharing stories of restoration strategies, successes or lessons learned? We’re seeking a few folks who can coordinate with our Strategic Communications committee and either write or recruit articles on timely topics of interest for SERNW members.

Presentation Reviewer
Any Location | 3-10 hours / conference
Are you interested in helping with a vital part of the conference? We’re seeking a few folks to help review presentation abstracts submitted for consideration. We’ll ask you to review 10-25 abstracts over a month timeframe leading up to our regional conference. You’ll review each abstract, provide a recommendation as to whether it meets conference criteria, provide some information to help sort it into an appropriate symposia, and if appropriate, you may provide limited feedback on abstracts to some presenters.
