SER’s U.S.A. Chapters

The Midwest-Great Lakes Chapter of SER was established in March 2008 and serves Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

 

Mission

To promote the science and practice of ecological restoration to assist with the recovery and management of degraded ecosystems throughout the Midwestern and Great Lakes region of the USA.

Chapter Bylaws
Chapter Bylaws were amended by the Board in June 2014 (originally approved by membership in January 2010).

 

Non-Profit Status
The Midwest-Great Lakes Chapter is a registered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. All donations to MWGL SER are tax-deductible.

In August 2012, the MWGL Chapter was formally incorporated as a non-profit in Indiana, which was a required step leading to IRS designation. You can read the official acceptance letter and our articles of incorporation in Indiana.

In February 2013, the MWGL Chapter was officially designated a 501(c)3 organization by the IRS.
