Host: Great Northern LCC Rocky Mountain Partner Forum

To design and implement large landscape conservation projects, individuals and agencies are increasingly organizing into networks to facilitate the exchange of ideas, build relationships, identify common interests, and solve problems of mutual interest in a landscape. Coordinating the actions of a diffuse, networked system to specific conservation outcomes poses unique challenges to measuring performance. This presentation describes the use of social network analysis as a tool to monitor and track longitudinal change in the social-governance system of a landscape conservation network, the Roundtable on the Crown of the Continent.

About the presenter: Patrick Bixler is a research fellow at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. His work focused on the intersection of ecology, sociology, and governance. He has researched and worked with conservation efforts in the Crown of the Continent region since 2008
