Climate change is already having significant impacts on wetlands and these effects are projected to increase considerably over time.  How should wetland managers prepare for and respond to the impacts of climate change?  What should be done differently and what actions continue to make sense?  This webinar presents guidance for designing and carrying out wetland conservation in the face of a changing climate and introduces National Wildlife Federation resources available to support this work, including NWF’s handbook Climate-Smart Conservation: Putting Adaptation Principles into Practice.  This presentation will highlight steps for applying climate-smart concepts to wetland management and discuss opportunities for integrating climate adaptation planning into wetland mitigation and restoration activities.
