Webinar — Ask an expert: Tools and resources for adapting to a changing climate

November 26, 2014 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

From extreme weather events to invasive species, like the Emerald Ash Borer, Canadian municipalities face significant impacts from a changing climate. Communities need to consider long-term climate changes in municipal plans and infrastructure investments, but some municipalities are only beginning this process, according to research from the National Municipal Adaptation Project. To close this gap, federal, provincial and municipal groups have collaborated to build an Adaptation Library that connects communities with the resources they need.

This webinar highlights research findings and available resources, and offers a question-and-answer-style discussion with leading experts who are developing tools to help Canadian communities prepare for a changing climate. Bring your questions, learn about new tools and build connections to support initiatives in your community.

Presented by the Partners for Climate Change, Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
