Seminar: The Mosaic Centre – Alberta’s First Net Zero Energy Commercial Building

April 22, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Mosaic Centre will be the world’s most northerly commercial building to achieve net zero status, Edmonton’s first designated LEED® platinum building, the first in Alberta to be petal certified by the Living Building Challenge and Canada’s first triple bottom line commercial building. The new 30,000 square foot building will include: 213 kW of photovoltaic panels – the largest in Alberta – that cover the majority of the roof, LED lighting designed with occupancy/time-clock/daylight controller to meet minimum light levels, a geo-exchange system which will draw heat in winter and coolant in summer, and a closed-loop total-building HVAC system. Come hear about this exciting break-through in commercial building design happening right here in Edmonton.
