A collaboration among artists, scientists and the small seaside village of Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast, Pieces of the Forest is a one-of-a-kind immersive art experience inspired by forests in our towns.

Visitors can explore the “trails” of this virtual urban forest, encountering multimedia installations (incorporating fibre arts, woodworking, sculpture, earth art, sound and projections) and interactive presentations that bring to life the hidden pieces of a forest ecosystem and their ecological, economic and cultural values.

We will be meeting on the unceded territory of the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw), and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.

The Woodwards Atrium is fully accessible (elevator access available) and easy to reach by public transportation or transit.
