Summary: Invasive plants can threaten our natural resources, infrastructure, and the health of people, animals and our environment. We have an opportunity to avoid these risks from plants that are new or not yet present in the province. The provincial Early Detection Rapid Response (EDRR) Program seeks to identify, contain and eradicate new invasive species early before this opportunity is lost. This talk will focus on several new invasive plant species that pose significant threats to BC’s grasslands, including how to identify and report them and the most likely places they will occur.
