The Manitoba Model Forest presents: Summer Institute for Teachers 2015 – A Boreal Adventure of Learning and Experiencing
Are you interested in learning about and exploring the Boreal Forest on the East Side of Lake Winnipeg? Would you like to learn
the low-down on boreal forest ecology and forest management, wildlife management (including deer, moose and the threatened
woodland caribou), water quality, climate change and more? Want to know how to take this information and plug it into your lesson
plans? What you learn can be easily integrated into lesson plans for all grade levels.
Join the Manitoba Model Forest (MBMF), a non-profit organization dedicated to boreal forest research and to bringing all stakeholders together for the better management of our forest resources, for 3 days of learning and exploring in Nopiming Provincial Park.
