Join us for an opportunity for you to come out and learn about two landscaping features that will help you see less of your lawnmower, watering hose and chemicals!

With your help, we’ll plant a demonstration garden of native sun-loving perennials that can take the place of a lawn with minimal maintenance requirements. Tucked in at the front will be a rain garden that holds precious rainwater. While we’re building, we’ll explain how rain gardens and alternatives to turf protect ponds and wetlands and Nose Creek and put money back in your pocket. Bring your gardening questions and plans and get advice for your own property. Stay for an hour, stay for the day. Lunch, literature and refreshments provided. This is a free event, made possible with support from the Calgary Foundation.
