Inventories and Monitoring
Join the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Manitoba Important Bird Areas Program, and local experts for a day of bio-blitzing! Hike through beautiful sandhills as we catalogue the amazing diversity this area has to offer and search for rare and elusive species. Teams of birders will be conducting extensive surveys around Oak Lake in order to collect information on bird population levels.
All levels of expertise and ages are welcome to participate!
If you are interested in carpooling with other volunteers click here and add your car, or join a car.
For some extra fun, join us on Friday July 14, at 7:00pm at the Legion Hall in the town of Oak Lake to learn about Tiger Beetles with Dr. Robert Wrigley, followed by an evening Bird Walk at the Cherry Point Educational Nature Trail.
