The first webinar is scheduled for April 7 15:00-16:00 CEST, and provides an introduction to the IPBES assessment process. We particularly encourage experts interested in participating in the upcoming global assessments to take part in this webinar series. Ivar Baste, IPBES Bureau member and co-chair of the task force on capacity-building, will present an overview of the four stages of the assessment process (exploratory, design, implementation, and communication and outreach), with detailed discussion on key topics within each stage. Key topics covered will include: getting started as an author and assessing materials; handling the review process; identifying and accessing data and other knowledge sources; and dealing with knowledge gaps. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session and if you already have questions you would like answered in relation to the IPBES assessment process, you may submit them via email to tsu.capacitybuilding@ipbes.net.
