Mr. Woodworth is a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner, Fluvial Geomorphologist, and the Director of the Ecological Restoration team at Save the Sound, a regional environmental nonprofit focused on Lond Island Sound and its watershed in New York and Connecticut. STS Ecological Restoration projects include stormwater green infrastructure, culvert assessments, dam removals, tidal marsh restorations, and other coastal resiliency and habitat restorations. Mr. Woodworth came to STS with over 12 years of experience in environmental consulting in the restoration of rivers and other water resources, supporting all phases of project development, from site assessment through construction. His work culminated in the removal of well over 50 dam removals. Mr. Woodworth began his career in ecological restoration with a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies from Middlebury College (1999) and later earned an MA in Geography (Fluvial Geomorphology) from the University of Connecticut (2008).
