June 19 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Society for Ecological Restoration (SER) Field Tour
Pikes Peak Restoration Tour and Flora by Life Zone
Hosted by CoNPS SE Chapter and SER RM Chapter

June 19, in-person field event
Location: Pikes Peak region, Colorado Springs

The Bear Creek Watershed Restoration Project is a multi-year effort to protect the federally protected greenback cutthroat trout. The project is a collaborative effort led by the United States Forest Service – Pikes Peak Ranger District. The primary goal of the project is to protect the greenback cutthroat trout and its habitat while allowing appropriate, sustainable recreation in this very popular area of El Paso County.
Visit other USFS restoration sites on Pikes Peak currently in planning.
Along the way, inventory flora of life zones in increasing elevation. Every life zone of Colorado, except the desert shrubland, can be observed from downtown Colorado Springs to the top of Pikes Peak – plains, foothills, montane, subalpine, alpine, riparian.

Meeting details are sent in registration email.
