PUB TALK: Laramie River Restoration Project

The Laramie River Restoration Project was a community-assisted project to restore river and wetland systems along a 4-mile stretch of the Laramie River. Between 2009 and 2011, more than two miles of river bank were treated using tree root wads, wood, rocks, and plants to reduce sedimentation, improve fish habitat, and save the greenbelt path from undercutting. Dr. Tony Hoch (Director and Water Quality Specialist, Laramie Rivers Conservation District) will talk about this successful community and inter-agency collaboration, which he oversaw from 2009 to 2011.
