Dam Good: Building a Diversion Structure Using an Innovative Ecological Restoration Approach

Join us for a Pub Talk after the Stream Restoration Field Tour!
The City of Fort Collins, in partnership with Colorado State University, is working on a project to maintain a critical water right for instream flows that supports fish, wildlife, and recreation in the Cache la Poudre River. The Environmental Learning Center Flow Restoration Project will restore fish passage, floodplain connection, and riparian habitat on the Poudre River while rebuilding a badly damaged diversion structure. Presenters: Bernadette Kuhn, Senior Environmental Planner & Restoration Project Manager with the City of Ft. Collins and Julie Ash, Environmental Learning Center Design Team Lead & Senior Restoration Engineer with Stillwater Sciences
Appetizers and refreshments will be provided.
The event is free to SER and SWS members, however there is a $5 cost for non-member students and $10 for other non-members.
