Jam of the Andes: benefit event to help restore some of the most eroded ands of the Central Andes!

July 13, 2013 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Jam of the Andes is a landmark benefit event to help restore some of the most eroded lands of the Central Andes!

Proceeds from this event will help to restore agricultural and cloud forest areas degraded by rampant soil erosion, reducing the threat of landslides and protecting water quality for indigenous Quechua communities of Ecuador.

When: Saturday, July 13, 2013 (6:00pm to 10pm)
Music starts at 8 pm

Where: St. John’s Episcopal Church in Boulder
1419 Pine Street, just 2 blocks north of the Pearl Street Mall

Visit https://sites.google.com/site/andesewb/ for a full schedule of activities and to reserve tickets on-line. Tickets also available at the door.

Come enjoy an evening of extraordinary musical talent at the first annual Jam of the Andes featuring the Manabí Salsa Band. This fundraiser will support Engineers Without Borders (EWB) volunteers, allowing us to expand erosion control and cloud forest restoration work in the Andes of Ecuador in partnership with the local Quechua communities. A 12-piece salsa band, a colorful presentation on conservation efforts in a remote mountain village in Ecuador, and free beer will make for a wonderful evening!

EWB-Denver’s seven year investment with the Quechua communities of Malingua Pamba have helped to develop reliable irrigation and potable water supplies, control rampant erosion and much more!

SUGGESTED DONATION AT DOOR: $30 for a night of live salsa music and 1 free beer. $20 for students.
