CeRSER 2017 Call for Election Nominations

It’s that time of year again!  The Central Rockies Chapter of SER would like to announce our call for Board of Director nominations.  Please consider nominating yourself or a fellow member for these important positions—yes, you may nominate yourself and are encouraged to do so!  We need to assemble a slate of candidates before April 11^th and hold an election by email in mid-April.  If you have questions about time commitments, job duties, etc., feel free to contact any of the current CeRSER Board of Directors for more info about duties and responsibilities (https://serchapter2018.wpengine.com/centralrockies/about/board/).

Please send nominations to Megan Bowes <bowesm@bouldercolorado.gov>, CeRSER Election Committee volunteer.  Nominations will be accepted now through April 11, 2017.

This year we have 4 positions up for election:

Vice President, term April 2017-2018—in order to provide board continuity, this important position succeeds our current President, Brett Wolk.  The Vice President/President-elect shall assume the duties of the President in the absence or upon the inability of the President to serve, and shall perform any duties assigned by the President. At the end of the Brett’s current term in spring of 2018, the President-elect shall assume the position of President through spring of 2020.  Interested in running for this position? Treasurer, term April 2017-2019—the Treasurer is responsible for the receipt and disbursement of funds of the Chapter and shall submit financial reports to the Board of Directors at all Chapter meetings and an annual financial report at the end of the fiscal year.

Student Rep (CSU), term April 2017-2018—Student Association representatives shall serve one-year terms, taking office upon election as determined by the Student Associations or upon election of their successors.

Student Rep (CU Boulder), term April 2017-2018—Student Association representatives shall serve one-year terms, taking office upon election as determined by the Student Associations or upon election of their successors.  Support this new student guild!!

Election Timeframe:

– Nominations will be accepted now through April 11 – please send nominations to Megan Bowes <bowesm@bouldercolorado.gov>

– April 13 – Ballots emailed

– April 24 – Voting ends

– April 27th, Election Results and New Positions Announced at CeRSER Business Meeting, 1-2pm, call in number 970-491-2612
