2016 Sustaining Colorado Watersheds Conference

11th Annual Sustaining Colorado Watersheds Conference

which will take place 11 – 13 October 2016

in Avon, Colorado.

 

This highly popular event expands cooperation and collaboration throughout our state for natural resource conservation, protection, and enhancement by informing citizen groups, agencies, consultants, and legislators about current issues and through networking opportunities. This year’s theme is “A river runs out of it: building strong upstream communities.” The following sub-themes will be featured this year:

  • Community conversations across agencies and interest groups
  • Empowering change through social intelligence and leadership skills
  • Lessons from flood recovery planning and project implementation
  • Advancing technical tools and innovations for restoration
  • Nexus of water storage with water quality and watershed health
  • Linking river use with land use planning
