The SERO Ecological Restoration Scholarship is intended to support and encourage post‑secondary students who demonstrate a strong interest in ecological restoration and related fields of study. Each year, one scholarship valued at $1,000 will be awarded to a student enrolled in a Canadian college or university whose academic and professional goals align with the principles and practice of ecological restoration. The scholarship recognizes scholarly excellence, academic relevance, and commitment to the advancement of ecological restoration through education, research, and community engagement.
Adjudication
Scholarships are assessed on the basis of:
- Academic excellence
- Scholarly relevance to ecological restoration
- Community-based efforts
- Demonstrated financial need
