Toronto Botanical Garden – Ravine Symposium – Oct 10 2019
Save the Date Oct 10, 2019
Here at TBG, planning for the fall ravine symposium is well underway. The symposium will take place on Thursday, October 10th. This earlier date will allow participants to enjoy Wilket Creek Ravine in its fall glory.
Here is a small sampling of new offerings:
• The League of Urban Nature Artists (LUNA), led by Alan Li, will present at the symposium and also exhibit some of their pieces.
• There will be an interactive session to take advantage of the immense expertise and passion of participants.
• Henry Hughes, former Director of Education at the Birmingham Botanical Garden, will give the keynote address on the highly-successful Centennial Tree Program.
• Henry will deliver an additional urban tree conservation workshop the following day.
As always, there will be many informative talks and displays, guided ravine tours, and delicious local food. Visit our website in late May for more information and to register.
For now, please save the date for this awesome fall event, then go back to enjoying spring. On that note, City of Toronto is running its Ravine Days from May 3 to 12.
