Following a 40-year international corporate career, mostly in the healthcare industry, Jackie decided to enter the environmental arena and in 2019 she completed a master’s in environmental management from the Yale School of the Environment. She also completed a master’s in wildlife forensics and conservation from the University of Florida in 2025. She has been active in conservation activities on Cape Cod in Massachusetts since 2012 and in 2018-2019 led a research workstream with the Herring River Restoration Project
team to study invasive vegetation within the salt marsh estuary. She is highly interested in not only contributing to the restoration of the Herring River in Wellfleet, MA, an ongoing project, but also in land conservation and the preservation of the unique attributes of the Cape Cod ecosystem at large. She also serves on the board of the Wellfleet-based non-profit Friends of Herring River and three life science company boards. She believes the Northeast chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration serves a vital role in connecting restoration and conservation professionals across the region.
