Call for Abstracts
Connecting Communities and Ecosystems in Restoration Practice
October 11-13, 2018 • Southern CT State University, New Haven, CT
Posters: Abstracts for posters will be considered up to September 15, 2018.
Submission deadline for talks closed August 3rd.
We are now accepting abstracts for talks and posters to be considered for inclusion in the upcoming October 2018 conference program. Selected talks will be delivered during concurrent sessions on Friday, October 12, 2018. Each oral presenter will have approximately 20 minutes. Selected posters will be presented during a Friday evening “Poster Pub.”
At this conference, we will highlight innovative projects and thinking that connects communities and ecosystems in restoration practice. Abstracts may pertain to, but are not limited to, the following subjects:
- Restoration of urban, aquatic, and terrestrial systems
- Appropriate targets for restoration
- Restoration techniques
- Post-project evaluation of success
- Under-represented voices in ecological restoration
- Traditional Ecological Knowledge
- Community stewardship
- Human dimensions of restoration
- Special Session: Ecological Restoration on abandoned cranberry farmland (Tidmarsh Farms): Practice, science, and public experience
