GBSER annual meeting, at Great Basin Consortium 2017 (GBC#6): Reno Feb 21-23, 2017

The GB-SER will hold its annual in-person business meeting on Tuesday, noon, at the UNR Student Union at GBC#6, see below.  President Elect Lee Turner will plan a field tour of restoration activities occurring near Reno.

 

GREAT BASIN CONSORTIUM CONFERENCE 2017: CHARTING A COURSE FOR RANGELAND SCIENCE IN THE SAGEBRUSH BIOME

Where: University of Nevada, Reno

Purpose: The objectives of the conference are to have participants learn about and contribute to implementation of the Integrated Rangeland Fire Management Strategy Actionable Science Plan.  A report will be produced from feedback received from breakout sessions on the five topics of the Science Plan.  View the full objectives and background in the agenda pdf.

Who: Researchers, managers, and practitioners from all regions of the sagebrush biome are encouraged to attend.

Registration: $80.  $25 for students. The registration link will be available by the end of November.  Remember to select your top three breakout session topic choices (1. Fire, 2. Invasives, 3. Climate Change, 4. Restoration, 5. Sagebrush and sage-grouse).

Call for Posters: There will be two poster sessions.  Information on how to submit poster abstracts will be available by the end of November.
