From Farms to Backyards: This talk covers invasive plants and how to deal with them.<\/p>\n<p>Don Hare from the Coastal Invasive Species Committee and Sue Staniforth with the Invasive Species Council of BC will present the latest research highlighting potential new removal strategies for invasive plants focusing on Yellow Flag Iris. This talk is followed by a workshop and demonstration (hands-on optional) on Saturday at the local Metchosin Farm demonstrating how to effectively remove Yellow Flag Iris. Get first-hand experience and training! Speakers welcome your questions and concerns about other problem invasive plant species as well. No experience needed!
