Lunch included. No cost for ALIDP partners.<\/p>\n<p>Tour starts at 9:45 a.m. from North Glenmore Park. Look for the Sunshine Coach bus.\u00a0Sites on the tour\u00a0include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two parking lot bioretention retrofits<\/li>\n<li>Three park bioretention retrofits<\/li>\n<li>One extensive green roof featuring native plants (tentative)<\/li>\n<li>Private sites featuring on-site water-management landscaping features<\/li>\n<li>Three stormwater ponds and their features and challenges<\/li>\n<li>Two LID subdivision redevelopments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some of the areas we will be visiting:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Quarry Park <\/strong>is a mixed development on a former gravel pit site. It includes a high-end Business Park, commercial areas\u00a0and residences. A creative stormwater management approach was needed in order to overcome challenges, including being below the 1:100 year water level of the Bow River. Lessons learned in the planning, design and construction of this subdivision will be presented and discussed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Currie Barracks\u00a0<\/strong>is the final major area to be redeveloped on the former CFB Calgary lands. It incorporates numerous LID features in both public and private realms.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Lincoln Park Business Centre<\/strong> is a 100 acre business park development located adjacent to the 50 Avenue SW and Crowchild Trail interchange on the west side of Crowchild Trial in southwest Calgary. The major site developer is ATCO.
