The Mosaic Centre will be the world\u2019s most northerly commercial building to achieve net zero status, Edmonton\u2019s first designated LEED\u00ae platinum building, the first in Alberta to be petal certified by the Living Building Challenge and Canada\u2019s first triple bottom line commercial building. The new 30,000 square foot building will include: 213 kW of photovoltaic panels \u2013 the largest in Alberta \u2013 that cover the majority of the roof, LED lighting designed with occupancy\/time-clock\/daylight controller to meet minimum light levels, a geo-exchange system which will draw heat in winter and coolant in summer, and a closed-loop total-building HVAC system.
