{"id":1529,"date":"2015-03-13T22:12:58","date_gmt":"2015-03-14T06:12:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/serchapter2018.wpengine.com\/westerncanada\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=1529"},"modified":"2015-08-16T17:25:10","modified_gmt":"2015-08-17T01:25:10","slug":"northern-latitudes-mining-reclamation-workshop","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/chapter.ser.org\/westerncanada\/event\/northern-latitudes-mining-reclamation-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Northern Latitudes Mining Reclamation Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Northern Latitudes Mining Reclamation Workshop (NLMRW) is a collaborative effort between Alaska and Northern Canada aimed at shedding light on the unique issues facing reclamationists in the North.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s conference is located in Juneau \u2014 one of the most beautiful areas of Southeast Alaska. Come see the massive mountains, scenic glaciers and pristine coast of the Last Frontier. The conference will include field tours of local mines, short courses, technical sessions, and various social events.<\/p>\n<p>SHORT COURSES:<br \/>\nThis years attendees will have the option of choosing between two exciting short courses being offered, one of which will be on Acid Rock Drainage. The courses will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>TOURS:<br \/>\nTwo field tours are being offered \u2014 one to Kensington Mine and one to Greens Creek Mine. Both field tours will take place on Monday, August 31, 2015 and require a ferry ride to the mine site. Kensington requires under-ground travel through part of the tour.<\/p>\n<p>Call for papers deadline March 31, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Questions?
