Call for abstracts
You are invited to submit an abstract for presentations as part of technical sessions at “Restoration & Resiliency: Restoring Disturbed Ecosystems of the Southeast” and annual meeting of the Society for Ecological Restoration Southeast, to be held Oct. 24-25, 2019 at the Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center in Columbus, GA.

We invite submission of oral and poster presentations on topics related to resiliency in ecological restoration including the restoration of:
- Specific animal species, populations, or communities
- Specific plant species, populations, or communities
- Wildlife habitat
- Wetlands and other aquatic ecosystems
- Marine and coastal ecosystems
- Streams and riparian zones
- Eastern grasslands
- Forests and other upland ecosystems
Abstracts are due August 1st, 2019 by 5:00 pm EST (deadline extended to August 15th)
Please submit abstracts by e-mail to Stacey S. Blersch, blersch_stacey@columbusstate.edu (Authors will be notified of acceptance by August, 25th); include “Southeast SER 2019 Abstract” in the subject line of the email.
Workshops or special sessions. Anyone wishing to propose a 1-3 hour workshop or special session should submit an outline to Stacey Sloan Blersch by July 25th.
Abstract Guidelines. All abstracts should include the following: 1) Title; 2) Author names and affiliations (please indicate corresponding author, and whether presenting author is a student); 3) E-mail address for correspondence,; 4) Mailing address; 5) Phone number; and 6) preference for oral or poster presentation. Body of abstract should be no longer than 250 words, and include a brief introduction, description of the project for case studies or methodology for research studies, and summary of results. Oral Presentations will be 20- 30 minutes each. Posters will be available for viewing during breaks, and during a poster session when presenters should be available. Submissions should be in a .doc or .docx format, or pasted directly into the body of the submission e-mail.
