Mine tailing reclamation in Yellowstone’s Soda Butte Creek<\/h2>\n

presented by Dr. Andrew Ray (Yellowstone National Park)<\/h3>\n

Mining operations are the primary source of heavy metals entering Yellowstone\u2019s creeks.\u00a0 The McClarenMill, a gold mine, had issues with tailings overflowing downstream from Cooke City (MT) into Yellowstone National Park.\u00a0 Dr. Ray will discuss Yellowstone\u2019s efforts to improve water quality and restore areas impacted by this operation.<\/p>\n
