CeRSER 2018 Call for Election Nominations<\/strong><\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

It\u2019s that time of year again!\u00a0 The Central Rockies Chapter of SER would like to announce our call for Board of Director nominations.\u00a0\u00a0Please consider nominating yourself or a fellow member for these important positions<\/strong>\u2014yes, you may nominate yourself and are encouraged to do so! \u00a0We need to assemble a slate of candidates before Friday, April 6th<\/sup>\u00a0and hold an election by email in mid-April. \u00a0If you have questions about time commitments, job duties, etc., feel free to contact any of the current CeRSER Board of Directors for more info about duties and responsibilities (https:\/\/chapter.ser.org\/centralrockies\/about\/board\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year we have 5 positions up for election:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Vice President<\/strong>, term April 2018-2020\u2014This important position succeeds our current President, Brett Wolk, with the aim of providing board continuity.\u00a0 The Vice President\/President-elect shall assume the duties of the President in the absence or upon\u00a0the inability of the President to serve, and shall perform any duties assigned by the President.\u00a0 Current VP\/President-elect Mark Paschke will assume the Presidency this April; at the\u00a0end of Marks\u2019 Presidency in 2020, the newly elected VP\/President-elect shall assume the position of\u00a0President through April of 2020.\u00a0 Interested in running for this position?   2. Secretary<\/strong>, term April 2018-2020\u2014The Secretary shall be responsible for recording the minutes of all meetings and the issuance of meeting minutes and of the maintenance of the membership records.<\/li>\n
  3. Communications<\/strong>, term April 2018-2020\u2014This committee shall maintain the CeRSER web site and other electronic media, and shall produce and distribute notices of Chapter events, and other printed and electronic materials that further the Chapter objectives and activities.<\/li>\n
  4. Membership<\/strong>, term April 2018-2020\u2014 This committee shall work to encourage and maintain the maximum number of persons residing or working within the Chapter’s geographical limits to become Chapter Members.<\/li>\n
  5. Outreach<\/strong>, term April 2018-2020\u2014This committee shall organize public lectures, workshops, and festivals and shall work with the Treasurer to solicit external support for such activities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Two student representatives are also being sought, however they will organize their own elections per our bylaws.<\/p>\n
