Funds may be used towards registration, travel, and\/or lodging expenses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Eligibility Requirements:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Must be a current member of SERRM<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Must work in an ecology, restoration, natural resources, or related field<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Student Development Grant<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Up to $500 is offered to students to attend a virtual or in-person conference or workshop. This grant is intended to support students during their studies and does not have specific spending requirements.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Eligibility Requirements:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Must be a current member of SER-RM<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Must be a student focusing on ecology, restoration, natural resources, or related field and either:<\/span>\r\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle\">\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">An undergraduate student actively conducting an undergraduate research project\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A graduate student<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Must show current proof of enrollment at their University<\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Post-award, the student may be asked to provide a short written narrative with photographs of how they spent the money<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><strong>Complete the application form and submit materials using <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1e0COMdWNEZZf5EkVBhkiyyVIn6amUwt4hqfWtKzGCwM\/edit?usp=sharing\">this Google form<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Funds will be awarded to qualified applicants on a first-come, first-served basis each year.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>Examples of qualifying workshops and conferences:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>HAR \u2013 SER-RM Conference<\/li>\r\n<li>Society of Wetlands Scientists (SWS)<\/li>\r\n<li>Southern Rockies Seed Network<\/li>\r\n<li>Society for Range Management Meeting<\/li>\r\n<li>Sustaining\u00a0Colorado\u2019s\u00a0Watersheds\u00a0Conference<\/li>\r\n<li>Rocky Mountain Stream Restoration Conference<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p><strong><em>From SER-RM By-Laws:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><strong><em>ARTICLE III. MISSION STATEMENT AND OBJECTIVES<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><em>Section 1. MISSION STATEMENT &#8211; The mission of the Chapter shall be to foster ecological restoration awareness, understanding, and activities among a broad spectrum of participants.<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p><em>Section 2. OBJECTIVES &#8211; Objectives of the Chapter shall be as follows:<\/em><\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li><em> To promote the exchange of information related to ecological restoration through emails, social media, newsletters, society publications and meetings.<\/em><\/li>\r\n<li><em> To develop ecological restoration as a science, art and conservation strategy through research and activities related to all areas of ecological restoration.<\/em><\/li>\r\n<li><em> To educate the general public, public agencies, private groups and institutions through events, public programs, workshops, publications and guidelines on ecological restoration.<\/em><\/li>\r\n<li><em> To advise and consult with public agencies, non-profits and the general public regarding improvement of standards and criteria for ecological restoration.<\/em><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Society for Ecological Restoration-Rocky Mountains Chapter\u00a0 \u00a0 SER-RM Student &amp; Professional Grants The SER-RM Chapter offers three grant opportunities for current SER-RM members.
