The Portuguese Network for Ecological Restoration was created in 2019 and made official on 2^nd August 2019, by signing a memorandum of understanding between the Society for Ecological Restoration Europe and the Portuguese Society of Ecology – SPECO (http://www.speco.pt/pt/), at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, at the occasion of the Congress of the European Ecology Federation.
