Specific objectives are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Encourage research in all areas related to the restoration of ecosystems<\/li>\n<li>Disseminate scientific and technical information related to the ecological restoration to individual and organizational members, as well as the general public<\/li>\n<li>Solicit funds (and other forms of support) from governmental, non-governmental, private and academic partners and conduct activities related to the ecological restoration such as promotion, support for research, workshops, symposia, education and field study projects.<\/li>\n<li>Recognize individuals that have made outstanding contributions to the field of ecological restoration in Eastern Canada<\/li>\n<li>Pursue other ecological restoration-oriented objectives in the interests of the SER-EC and in accordance with SER\u2019s Mission<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La mission de SER-EC est de faire progresser la science, la pratique et la politique de la restauration \u00e9cologique pour maintenir la biodiversit\u00e9, am\u00e9liorer la r\u00e9silience face au changement climatique et r\u00e9tablir une relation \u00e9cologiquement saine entre la nature et la culture.
