The Southern African Faith Communities’ Environment Institute (SAFCEI) will be hosting their first Faith Leader Environmental Advocacy Training (FLEAT) Zimbabwe II in Bulawayo from 21 to 23 March 2023 and is inviting applications now.

They are seeking applications from people of faith that live in Zimbabwe, particularly those in leadership in their faith institutions.

SAFCEI will bring together faith leaders from across Zimbabwe to create an opportunity for faith-led eco-justice. Issues of water, land, biodiversity, gender, food, energy and climate justice will be on the agenda. Ethical actions for your faith community will be part of the workshop.

Please note that this training will be held in-person from 08:30 to 17:00 over three days. Accommodation and meals will be provided to selected participants.

If you are a person who wants to learn more about eco-justice and build your network, please apply here. Please share this opportunity widely in Zimbabwe. SAFCEI is seeking a diverse group of Zimbabwean faith leaders with 50% women, and youth. You will be joining a network of faith leaders across Zimbabwe and the region who care about the environment and want to take action collectively.

Please send your application with supporting documents to zainab@safcei.org.za by 24 February 2023.
